About World in Stats
Research, statistics and evidence — made easier to explore.
World in Stats brings definitions, observations, comparisons and source links into one place across population, health, education and environmental themes.
What this release covers
23 indicators, 217 countries and economies, with historical World Bank data, UN WPP/WUP projections, IRENA generation shares, FAO and UNSD supplements, selected monthly Eurostat releases. Research overviews are retained separately as an editorial archive, pending independent scientific review. The collection does not cover every country or indicator. No source institution endorses this project.
Who maintains World in Stats
Martim Abreu operates this independent project. For questions or corrections, use the public contact email.
How the collection is maintained
Data updates are reviewed manually before publication. Reference years, source editions and value types are retained. The website does not automatically fetch a new annual release on every visit.
